Are the doctors board-certified?
Yes. Drs. Schofield, Hand and Bright are each certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
I am a new patient. Will I be seen by the doctor?
Yes. You may be evaluated by the medical staff first, but you will be seen by a physician.
Are the doctors using any new techniques to treat orthopaedic disorders?
Dr. Schofield has the largest local experience with reverse shoulder arthoplasty, a new prosthesis utilized in cases of advanced rotator cuff disease and/or arthritis.
Dr. Hand is using Xiaflex, an injectable enzyme developed for nonsurgical treatment of Dupuytren's contracture.
Dr. Bright does custom guided knee replacements, which are more accurate and cause less bleeding than traditional knee replacements. He is also the Past President of the Florida Orthopedic Society.
